Description:
The stories of twelve Thai novice monks
Phra Peter shed light on the little-known world of Thai novice monks in his latest title: Little Angels. The author begins with the public perception of "nehn", then explains the rules to which they are supposed to adhere while going through their daily activities. Such factual accounts, meant to provide readers with background understanding, are enlivened with amusing anecdotes of the kind which have become Phra Peter's trademark. The message that Phra Peter tries to get across, however, is the "human face" of Thai Buddhism as subtly shown in the real lives of each individual novice featured in the book.
